Somuncu Baba Cami – Bursa

Yıldırım Bayezid döneminde, Şeyh Hamid adına, Başcı Hacı Sevindik tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Ana hatları ile dikdörtgen planı olan cami; iç ölçüleri 5.70 x 5.70 metre olan tek kubbeli kare bir alanla, kuzey yönünde buna eklenen 3.00 x 5.70 metre iç ölçülerinde bir son cemaat yerinden oluşmaktadır. Son cemaat yerinin üstü tonozla örtülüdür. Kalkan duvarlı camilerdendir. Bursa kemerli bir kapı ile asıl ibadet alanına girilmektedir. Beden duvarları düzgün moloz taş ve iki sıra tuğla örgülü yatay düzende üçer sıralı tuğla hatıllarla takviye edilmiştir. Sekizgen kaideli tuğla-taş almaşıklı minare, tuğla gövdeli ve sivri külahlıdır. Caminin içine yeni çiniler döşenmiştir. 1955-1971 yıllarında aslına uygun olarak onarılmıştır. The Somuncu Baba Mosque

During the Yıldırım Bayezid period, Basci Hacı Sevindik built the mosque in the name of Sheikh Hamid. The mosque, which has a rectangular plan with its main lines; the internal measurements consist of a single domed square area measuring 5.70 x 5.70 m and a congregation area for the latecomers measuring 3.00 x 5.70 m added to it in the north direction. The top of the congregation area for the latecomers is covered with a vault. It’s a mosque with shielded walls. The entrance to the area of worship is opened with a Bursa arched door. The walls were reinforced with regular rubble stones and two rows of brick braided with three-row brick. The octagonal-domed brick-stone minaret is brick-bodied and has a pointed cone. New glazed tiles were laid on the mosque. It was repaired back to its original form in 1955-1971. There are graves to the east. Source: Bursa Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism
